The aim is to explore the news process in order to examine portrayal of our communities. We will also look at how we can influence the process.

Angie is a GLA Assembly Member, Leader of the Conservative group. From 1989 to 1992 she was Head of Broadcasting and Press Secretary to the Conservative Party Chairman. Recently she worked as a senior consultant on media matters. She was formerly a radio presenter and reporter for LBC radio
CHAIR FOR THE EVENT IS: Angela Sarkis CBE
Angela is National Secretary of YMCA England, where she is the first Black woman to be the head of a major national charity. She is a former Governor of the BBC, and was chief Executive of the Church Urban Fund until moving to the YMCA

Rokshana, a member of the Alif-Aleph UK Executive, is a Director of the Change Institute and a former journalist on the Dimbleby Programme. Simon is home affairs correspondent for Channel 4 News
